Proclaiming 2010 the Year of Adventure

So no adventures to speak of since I last updated. There are some updates in my personal life however. I've since moved in with my girlfriend. So now I have a live in adventure buddy, YAY! As well as a ridiculously small dog, Harrison Tobias Belmont. However, due to lack of vacation time we cannot get away for the life of me. We are looking to go camping as soon as the semester is over so Ill definitely post then. As for the meaning of my title...I will have 3 weeks paid vacation next year instead of my normal 2(which I seem to go through faster and faster every year). All of which will be spent traversing the wilds of America. Im going to make this a priority for myself. To much of late have I been found day dreaming of adventure. So next year I hope to get at least one good week-long backpacking trip in, several multi-days, and a few side trips for fun. And with any luck I will have a new freakin car that would be an asset rather than a burden to traveling. Im hoping to find a nice small truck or possibly a small SUV. I want to turn it into the adventure mobile.

Other than all that things are pretty much the same. Im still in school and going to work. Ive decided that I want to be a fireman now. I better get my butt into shape!

Bored Stiff

I hate coming here with nothing to say really. All I know is that its 9pm and I'm soooo bored at work. I tried to work on an essay paper who's due date is rapidly approaching, but I didn't get very far. I made a simple outline and I was done. I can absolutely not put it off tomorrow like I have today.

Past Adventures: Baltimore ,Philly ,Camping

For Spring Break '09 I headed up north to visit Vern. Over the course of the week we visited Baltimore, Philadelphia, and I took Vern on her first real camping trip.(Winnebagos don't count!)

Baltimore was neat but they really should pick a different color. I mean really who paints their boat aqua?!
Then we headed over to Chapps for a fantastic lunch. Someone needs to ship me some of this stuff.
The next morning we drove to Philly.
I of course had to challenge the Rocky Steps.

Pats King of Steaks...Delicious!

Camping a few nights later

My first encounter with Birch bark. I marveled in its glory. It was completely soaked and yet it ignited instantly. I love it!
My picturesque fire.

Cookin' some dogs, and getting toasted!

Lets try this again

I'm going to try this one more time. I've had blogs in the past and I either don't keep up with them or I delete them on a whim. Then I always find myself with nothing to do and wanting to have some sort of contact with the outside world. So this time no deleting.

Basically I'd like this blog to be about my adventures but also just a place to come to and kill some time. Ill post some past adventures tomorrow just to get things going.
